Our Show History
The Indian Uprising has a rich history dating back to our first show in 1990. Our visual walk down memory lane appears below in reverse order (most recent first). Coverage currently begins in 2000 (scroll to bottom of this page) when our show was held in an office building adjacent to a McDonald’s (McDonald’s served as our show headquarters). Until 2007 the show was just a one day event. In 2008 we moved to a bigger facility because the show had grown so much. In fact, that’s when the show was renamed The Indian Uprising All Pontiac Weekend. In 2012 The Indian Uprising merged for one year with the 40th P.O.C.I. National Convention and The Cruisin’ Tigers hosted the largest event in P.O.C.I. history with over 900 Pontiacs on the grounds.
Today The Indian Uprising All Pontiac Weekend is the largest all Pontiac event of its type in the world drawing 600 cars annually and STILL growing. The show is well known for the staff hospitality, the variety of cars and the consistently high quality that makes this an event of high caliber. If you are a Pontiac enthusiast, this is one not to miss.
